This odd creature resembles a sort of metallic beetle. It is about a meter long and half a meter wide. Its segmented carapace is bluish grey and shiny. It appears as if the exoskeleton of this beetle is metallic. The shell is cold and hard to the touch and actually contains large quantities of metal. The beetle is quite heavy. It moves with an odd clicking sound.
When threatened, it will wrap itself up in armored ball. And is tossed about by the Horde. But never harmed. Only re-opens after the Horde is gone or the danger has passed. If necessary, the iron roller will stay rolled up for days or weeks (during Horde season).
The iron roller beetle tends to stick with the dry arid regions and broad grasslands found within the Desolation.
The shell of this creature can be used to fashion very strong and light armor. The omarin sometimes will fashion their armor from this creatures shell.
